On the 10th of May & October 11th 2024, the United Kingdom experienced two extremely strong geomagnetic storms. These led to remarkably bright and long-lasting aurora that could be seen across most of the northern hemisphere. It was a truly unique phenomenon that astonished the country, twice! Luckily for me, I had been alerted of both geomagnetic storms in enough time to set up my camera out in my garden, in an attempt to capture the dramatic life shows. Although the landscape and foreground was challenging, the vibrancy and magic of the skies compensated for it. This collection showcases some of my photographs of the long and cold nights spent outside photographing the Aurora Borealis, from my home in East Anglia.
