In the autumn of 2025, I visited what I now think to be England’s most enchanted woodland: Puzzlewood, located deep in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. The winding rickety paths are adorned with vibrant green and orange foliage that hangs down from ancient and gnarled trees. It’s a landscape photographers dream and a stunning photograph could be taken in any direction. This collection highlights some of my favourite and most captivating images, hopefully transporting you to a eerie but familiar world of fantasy and wonder.
