In December 2025, I travelled to Tallinn in Estonia to explore the medieval city and wildness of the surrounding areas. This collection focuses not on the ancient city, but the natural environments encompassing it. The nearby nature reserves and national parks are a haven for wildlife, however during winter they’re much harder to spot and photograph. Most of my focus was on the flowing waterfalls, frosty forests and incredible panoramas of the raised bog landscapes. My ultimate goal was to see and photograph a European Elk, but although I saw plenty of signs, the animal eluded me. One day I’ll return to tick off photographing the largest species of deer in Europe!
