Lake Naivasha is a large freshwater lake, just on the outskirts of the town of Naivasha. The lake is home to over 400 bird species, and a large density of hippo. I had the opportunity to travel across Lake Naivasha by boat, photographing the wildlife from the lake itself. The bird species astounded me, and the hippos swimming and playing in the water seemed to pop up out of nowhere. This collection focuses on depicting the birds and mammals of Lake Naivasha as I experienced them from the water.
