Norfolk Seals
The Norfolk coast is a bustling gathering place for a significant number of grey seals every year. Thousands of these marine mammals come to shore to have their young and spend their days lounging around on the beaches. Despite the overcast skies and drizzly weather, I set out to capture these charismatic animals in their natural habitat during the pup season. The trip for me highlighted the sheer challenges of life that these seals faced on a daily basis, with rapidly changing tides, intense fights and overcrowding all unfolding on the beach front. This collection is an emotional one for me as I attempted to reflect these difficulties, whilst also showing how cute and expressive these animals truly are.
