Northern Lights
On the 10th of May 2024, the United Kingdom experienced the strongest geomagnetic storm in over two decades. This led to a remarkably bright and long-lasting aurora that could be seen across most of the northern hemisphere. It was a truly unique phenomenon that astonished the country. Luckily for me, I had been alerted of the geomagnetic storm in enough time to set up my camera out in my garden, in an attempt to capture the dramatic life show. Although the landscape and foreground was challenging, the vibrancy and magic of the skies compensated for it. This collection showcases some of my photographs of this long and cold spring night out photographing the Aurora Borealis, from my home in East Anglia.
