Norway Nights
Northern Norway has arguably some of the most dramatic night time scenes in all of Europe. The city of Tromsø. also known as the Aurora Capital of the world, is no exception. On my visit in mid November of 2024, we only had the privilege of 4 hours of daylight, before darkness descended over the city. The darkness was naturally challenging photographically, but I took it as an opportunity to expand my portfolio and create images that I otherwise wouldn’t have considered. The highlight of the polar night was undoubtedly the Aurora Borealis, illuminating the black sky with emerald streaks twisting and pulsating above the flickering city lights.
